Kuch Naa Kaho, a popular Hindi-language drama produced and directed by Amol Gupte. The film is about two estranged childhood friends who come together as adults to face tragedy and discover the truth of their complicated relationship. It is distributed by Yash Raj Films with Madhuri Dixit in the lead role. The film was premiered at the 2005 Toronto International Film Festival and released on 24 October 2005 in India.The movie also stars Vivek Fernandes, Rahul Bose, Raima Sen, Jugal Hansraj and Kunal Kapoor. The music was composed by A.R. Rahman, with lyrics by Gulzar. The title song was sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Anu Malik in the voice of Arijit Singh. The soundtrack was released on 6 September 2005 under the YRF Music label. It received positive reviews from critics.Kuch Naa Kaho is Madhuri Dixit's first film after winning the Miss World (1994) title, where she plays Kamini Shah (or Kamini), a woman who is grief-stricken after her fiancé dies in an explosion during their engagement party. She meets her old childhood friend Kunal Khanna (Rahul Bose) at his fiancé's funeral. They are very much in love with each other but they are not sure about their relationship despite their strong feelings for each other. However, when Kamini falls in love with Anil (Mahendra Purohit), he marries her in his widowed mother's place. Kamini thus becomes the stepmother of Kunal's family along with his own wife, Jennifer (Raima Sen). Jennifer gives birth to a baby boy, which she decides to name Anil-Kamini. While all this happens, Kunal also realizes that he loves Kamini still and wants to get back together with her. When Kunal decides to tell Kaminix that he still loves her, he finds out that she was pregnant. He therefore understands that she's carrying Anil's child. Later, Kamini goes to the hospital for a check-up and finds out that she is suffering from breast cancer. Kamini comes back home but her health deteriorates every day until Anil finally advises them to see a doctor so they can tell their child about this disease. After many appointments with doctors, they realize that there is nothing left to do except take care of her until her last breath. They do so, taking her for last check-up. Kunal realizes one more thing about Kamini's death. He had lost his friend Kamini only because of misunderstandings. He decides to look at the past where they used to be childhood friends. When they were just kids, Kamini was always busy with studies and Kunal used to roam around with his friends. However, despite that she loves him, she lets go of him after one incident where they are both stuck in a tree being attacked by monkeys who kidnap Kamini's bag containing her diary (which is still with Kunal).
